PlatinumMeds is operated by Justin Pham LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PlatinumMeds mobile application.
Information We Collect
When you use PlatinumMeds we collect the following types of information. Personal information including your name and email address provided during account registration. Health information including your medicines, doses, lab results, fluid intake, dialysis type, and adherence history that you choose to enter into the app. Device information including your device type, operating system, and app usage data. Caregiver connection information if you choose to invite a caregiver or accept a caregiver invitation.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the core features of PlatinumMeds including medication reminders, dose tracking, lab result tracking, fluid tracking, caregiver connections, and PDF adherence reports. We use your email address to send caregiver invitation emails and important account notifications. We use anonymized and aggregated data to improve the app experience. We do not sell your personal health information to third parties.
Third Party Services
PlatinumMeds uses the following third party services to operate. Firebase by Google for authentication, data storage, and push notifications. RevenueCat for subscription and in-app purchase management. Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered kidney-safe recipe suggestions and kidney news content. GoodRx API for pharmacy coupon pricing. SendGrid for transactional emails including caregiver invitations.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase which uses industry standard encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal and health information from unauthorized access. However no method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data at any time through the app. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app Settings. You have the right to update your personal information at any time through your profile settings.
Children's Privacy
PlatinumMeds is intended for users aged 17 and older or with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
HIPAA Notice
PlatinumMeds is not a covered entity under HIPAA. However we take the privacy of your health information seriously and implement reasonable safeguards to protect it.
Medical Disclaimer
PlatinumMeds is not a medical device and is not intended to replace the advice of a qualified healthcare provider. Always consult your nephrologist or care team regarding your medicines and treatment.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email.
